Even here in the 21st century, there are still many disputes all over the world. They occur in the name of economy, territory, religion, ideology, and other reasons. Such a poor thing that human beings never learn from the past.
When I was young, my father called me "reckless." In my student days, I used to stay up all night discussing with my friends or reading books about human beings and society. I think these experiences allowed me to develop my view of life and the world, which led me to be so self-righteous that I do not listen to others' opinions.
However, when I inherited my father's business, I realized that I would not be able to manage the company with such a self-centered personality. That is why I changed my way of thinking as if "I became a different person," which my father later said.
Meanwhile, this self-improvement started making me guilt-ridden about my past failures. Every failure case similar to mine found on TV or in a newspaper deeply hurts my feelings. Sadly, people cannot avoid failures. The more people age, the more often their feelings get hurt by failures. Thus, I always try to think about something else to forget them for the sake of my health.
I have recently concluded that having a heartache means my senses function normally. Such positive thinking may be a key to decreasing the number of failures in the rest of our lives.
