Vol.36 50th Anniversary |
|
|
Niccho, Inc. marked the 50th
anniversary of its founding in
July. On July 4, to
celebrate this landmark, we held
"Barge Tour Party," going up and
down the Sumida River, and had a
great evening with many people.
We would like to thank all the
participants. Under the
confidentiality obligation and
other matters, we had to give up
inviting any clients. We hope
all the clients understand the
situation.
Now, when I
look back on our history, I
realize that three major
international economic crises
took place in this 50 years. (1)
Nixon Shock (August 1971) (2)
Oil Crisis (October 1973) (3)
Bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers
(September 2008)
Meanwhile,
three national crises occurred
in Japan. (1) Collapse
of Bubble Economy (March 1991) (2)
Great Hanshin Earthquake
(January 1995) (3)
Great East Japan Earthquake
(March 2011)
A total of
six national and international
crises drove many companies and
offices into bankruptcy or
closure. Above all, oil crisis
severely damaged Japanese
economy, also putting Niccho,
which was only a seven-year-old
company back then, in danger of
an economic crisis. Although
some say "companies can last
only about 30 years,"
fortunately, we have been in
business for this long. This is
all due to support and
encouragement from clients.
With
a new goal to celebrate another
50 years, all of us will start
doing our best on a new note. We
will continue to benefit from
your able guidance and wish you
all good health and happiness.
